About Us

The Geographic Information Network of Alaska (GINA) is the University of Alaska’s agency for organizing and sharing a diverse collection of geospatial data and technological capabilities among the Alaskan, arctic, and world communities. GINA has been appointed by the Alaska Energy Authority to support the collection and distribution of geographic information for the Susitna Watana Hydroelectric project. GINA receives, manages, and distributes Project GIS vector and raster datasets on behalf of licensing participants and consultants.

The Susitna Watana project GIS portal provides a synopsis of services and datasets supported by GINA. The GIS portal will also be used to promote project updates and information.

Please contact us for any questions or comments regarding GINA’s services in support of the Susitna Watana project.
